Be Like Peter

When Jesus meets Peter after the resurrection, they share an experience from many years before. This reminder refocuses Peter on his task after Jesus is not physically present any more.

Peter had been living in fear, uncertain about what his life looked like now. Jesus no longer was the organizing person for their faith community and Peter bore the responsibility for shaping the life of the church - with no clear vision of what an ongoing faith community was supposed to look like or what it's purpose would be.

Now, it was time. Jesus gave Peter the template and empowered it. This week, we find out the steps the church should take to live into Jesus's vision for it.
