Scouts at Concord

Concord Presbyterian Church sponsors a co-ed Cub Scout troop, a Boy Scout troop and a Female scout troop. The cub dens are NOT co-ed, but do meet monthly for combined activities including fun activities and promotion ceremonies. We meet every Monday at 6:55PM.

Our Story

We have many Pack activities and events.
1. Fall Family Camping
2. Scouting for Food
3. Christmas Party
4. Blue and Gold Banquet
5. Scout Sunday
6. Pinewood Derby
7. Cub Scout Olympics
8. Spring Family Camping
9. Summertime Activities
10. Summer Cub Day Camp

We meet regularly August through May. Over the Summer we have Summertime activities which may include hiking/picnic, fishing, water fun day, ice cream social, gem mining, or whatever the scouts and families suggest. These activities are usually different every year. Scouts are keen for adventure and outdoor sports ... they want to have fun and learn how to live outdoors.

Scouting Promotes:
1. Character Development
2. Spiritual Growth
3. Good Citizenship
4. Sportsmanship and Fitness
5. Family Understanding
6. Respectful Relationships
7. Personal Achievement
8. Friendly Service
9. FUN and ADVENTURE

Leadership
Our leaders are mostly parents. Each den needs at least one leader and at least one assistant leader. Other parents are always encouraged to help as much as they can. Have a burning desire to become a leader? PLEASE let us know. There are always things to be done. There are plenty of leader training sessions available and we are your resources. Have an unusual or interesting hobby that you would like to share? Tell us. Also Youth Protection Training is required to be taken by all leaders and anyone working with the scouts at www.my.scouting.org.
