Then I saw a great white throne and the one who is seated on it. Before his face both earth and heaven fled away and no place was found for them. I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and the scroll was opened too.

To you, O God, we give up the burdens of this day, trusting your love and mercy. To you, O God, we surrender ourselves, trusting our risen Lord to lead us always in the way of peace, today, tomorrow, and forever, Amen.
